Sherlock Holmes and the Capitol Gentlemen

  It is 1895.  Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson are in the City
of Cape May to be honored for their apprehension of several
nefarious criminals there.  Holmes has been delayed, consulting
with members of the Capitol Gentlemen, a delegation from
Washington.  During the reception, President Harrison is attacked
by an anarchist who resents Harrison’s past policies of
expansionism and high import tariffs.  Upon his arrival, Holmes
must deal with the attack on Harrison and determine the identity
of those behind it.

Sherlock Holmes and the Star of Arabia

   It is 1887, and a reception is being held to celebrate the start
of construction of the Cape May Driving Park, for horse and
bicycle racing.  To promote that occasion, the
Star of Arabia, an
extraordinary thoroughbred from Damascus, will be in the City,
part of a cross-country tour of cultural objects from the Arabian
world.  The exhibit is a joint-venture among London, Paris and
Damascus to enhance their bonds of diplomacy and friendship.  
During the evening’s festivities, a note arrives stating that the
Star of Arabia has been taken and will be returned for a ransom 1
million pounds sterling.  Holmes must find the animal before any
harm is done to it, a development which could jeopardize the
fragile relationship between Western nations and certain nations
of the Middle East.

Sherlock Holmes and The Sea Grove
Covenant
                               

   Mr. John Wanamaker is hosting a celebration to honor the
arrival of President Benjamin Harrison who will summer in Cape
May Point.  During the festivities, a message arrives indicating
that President Harrison will not be in attendance that evening.   
Later, security guards are summoned to Cape May Point to
provide extra protection for Mr. Harrison.  The next day, Holmes is
visited by Mr. Wanamaker who informs him of the Sea Grove
Covenant, a plan for global expansion into and colonization of the
Pacific, Central and South America and the Far East and Middle
East . One of the copies of the Covenant, secretly created by
Great Britain, France and the United States, was stolen yesterday
from the Summer White House.  Holmes must recover the Sea
Grove Covenant before its volatile contents are revealed.  The
time is 1889.

Sherlock Holmes and The Circle of
Darkness
                               

   1901 and a reception is being held to celebrate the
construction of the new $35,000 high school.  A symbol of a
better life for the citizens of the city, the high school is also the
tangible image of the power of the business community.  During
the activities, a note arrives containing a threat to destroy the
new high school unless a payment of $500,000.00 is made; if not,
other prominent sites in the city will also be destroyed. The note
is signed by the Circle of Darkness.  Holmes must stop the threat
against the high school.

Sherlock Holmes and the Society of Shadow
Men
               

   IN 1897, a reception is being held to announce the creation of
the Board of Trade of the City of Cape May.  Word arrives that
Mr. Howard Warner, the representative of President McKinley,
was kidnapped while traveling there from Philadelphia, by the
Society of Shadow Men; their demands will follow.  Sherlock
Holmes must deal with the kidnapping,  a "truly diabolical scheme
being manipulated by that archvillain...Moriarty," stopping him
before he completes his plans.  The time is 1897

Sherlock Holmes and the Eye of Venus

   It is 1894.  A reception is being held to commemorate the
completion of the South Jersey railroad line into the City of Cape
May.  The highlight of the event, a spectacular diamond called
The Eye of Venus, is stolen from The South Jersey Train.  The
thieves demand 2 million pounds sterling, else the
Eye will be cut
down into minor gemstones and, also, the
South Jersey will never
reach the City.  Learning that Sherlock Holmes and Doctor
Watson are in Philadelphia, dealing with several threats against
the Federal Banking System, Mayor Hildreth wires his friend, the
Director of the Federal Reserve Bank, pleading for Holmes’s
assistance in recovering the
Eye of Venus and stopping the
blackmailing terrorists.  Holmes accepts the case.

Sherlock Holmes and the Jackson Street Terror

   During a 1890 reception to celebrate the current sporting
season of the Cape May Athletic Club, word arrives of the third
gruesome murder in the City, in the past six months.  Many fear
that either Jack the Ripper is now plying his trade or a type of
copycat murderer is on the loose.  Three such murders have
occurred during the past six months.  Because of their experience
with Jack the Ripper in London, in 1888, Sherlock Holmes and
Doctor Watson are invited to the City, to provide their insights
into solving the killings, by the so-called Jackson Street Terror.

Sherlock Holmes and the Royal Regatta

   A reception is being held to launch a series of yacht races,
sponsored by His Royal Majesty, the Prince of Wales, to be held
off the coast of Cape May, in preparation for the Americas Cup
Races 1901.  Entered in the races will be yachts owned by The
Prince of Wales, J.P. Morgan, and M. Andre Lebrun, of France.  
President William McKinley is expected to attend the races.  
During the reception, Mayor Millet receives word that Monsieur
Lebrun was killed in an on-board explosion on his yacht.  Millet
also receives threats against the lives and yachts of J.P. Morgan
and the Prince of Wales.  Sherlock Holmes suspects the hand of
Professor Moriarty and must act quickly to prevent the deaths of
the other world leaders.

Sherlock Holmes and the League of Night

   In 1899, a reception is being held in honor of Mr. Jacob G.
Schurman, recently appointed by President William McKinley to
head a Philippine Commission deciding how to best govern the
Islands. The Philippines were recently acquired through the
Treaty of Paris, which ended the War between Spain and the
United States.  During the reception, a death threat signed by
The League of Night, a group of terrorist Filipino rebels, is
received against Senator Sewell.  Unless the United States
changes its policy toward the Philippines and grants the Island
independence, Sewell--and others--will die.  The rebels also
threaten to destroy local targets.  Sewell is attacked and seriously
injured by a member of the League of Night.  Holmes must stop
further attacks by the League and prevent Moriarty from carrying
out his plans for a possible world war.

Sherlock Holmes and the Hammer of Mars

   It is 1908, and a reception is being held to formally announce
the building of a prototype submarine by Henry Ford in the Cape
May area.  During the reception, David Norton, the sixteen-year-
old son of Irene Adler Norton, is kidnapped by Professor
Moriarty.  Irene Norton had been a frequent guest in Cape May
and a sponsor of several charitable fundraising events there.  
David is in the City to offer his thanks to various officials and
persons who had befriended his now deceased mother.  
Moriarty's demands are simple: David Norton for the submarine
plans.  Holmes must act quickly to save David Norton and protect
the submarine plans.
